They owe their success to hard work and meeting female DJ, DBN Gogo, real name Mandisa Radebe. Producer and DJ duo TNK MusiQ duo, Thabo "T-Man" Ndlovu and Siseko Kyle Njengo are one of the leading Amapiano duos. They rose to fame after the release of their singles, Bells, Mina Nawe, Saka, Woza La, and Woza Madala. Since then, they have worked with the likes of Maphorisa, Focalistic, Dinky Kunene, TxC, and many others.
WORMING THEIR WAY IN
After hustling for years working as cleaners at different clubs, just to be close to the music, their lives took a turn when they released the song Bells. "We used to pick up bottles at Mr JazziQ's Junk Park. We did this for a reason, so we could be close to the music, celebrities and when we can get a chance, to DJ," Thabo says. "We would do anything, pick u bottles, clean and be sent around, so that we got an opportunity to DJ, and to get people to listen to our music," he adds.
MEETING DBN GOGO
Their big break came after meeting DBN Gogo. "At first, she was skeptical, like all artists. We started working with her. She did everything for us; took us to gigs, helped us when we needed food, transport and everything to basically get us ahead including introducing us to the right people," Kyle adds. "But after some time, we decided to change paths. She wanted to sign us, but we wanted to be independent, so we had to find our feet. But we still work with her, we are on good terms and credit her for our success," Thabo adds.

GOD'S TIMING
Although they worked at JazziQ's nightclub as cleaners, they have never had an opportunity to work with him in the music business. "Cabanga! But it's all God's timing," Thabo says. "He knew us as just as intwana who work there and clean and that we make music. With all the people we have worked with, we have never called him, he has not called us to work. But maybe one day it will happen, no pressure."
A DEADLY DUO
Unlike many duos who have split, such as JazziDisciples made up of Mr JazziQ and Josiah and Amaroto made up of Reece Madlisa and Zuma, TNK MusiQ believes they are in it for the win. "We won't ever split up. We believe in taking through our issues," Kyle says. "We have been friends since high school and have been doing this together for more than five years. We have fought about money, girls, music and we have found ways to resolve our issues, and we want to keep it that way." They also don't ever want to release solo projects. "We don't want to confuse people and make them feel pressured to pick a side, we are good as a duo and that is how we want to keep it." They have cemented themselves in Mzansi and now want to take things overseas. "We are ready for the next move now, and to go abroad."
