From being a high roller to a taxi driver

Flamboyant Nico Matlala is now an Uber driver

During his prime time, flamboyant businessman Nico Matlala was a man about town. He was linked to the hottest media personalities like Palesa Madisakwane and actress KB Motsilanyane. He also had a topsy-turvy relationship with businesswoman Lebohang Mabe. The former millionaire is now an e-hailing driver in and around Gauteng. His In-Ride profile says he drives a white Hyundai i20 and is known as P Nico.

CONTROVERSIAL BREAKUPS WITH CELEBRITIES

During his breakup with Madisakwane, Matlala reportedly called her a "little witch" as he suspected that she leaked the story about their breakup to the media. In a recorded clip that was shared on social media, Matlala sweared and even threatened her. The two dated just a few months after Matlala broke up with KB. According to reports, Matlala dumped KB as they were planning a wedding. At the time, he claimed to have paid R90 000 towards her lobola. The two were also involved in a bitter dispute over the ownership of a R1-million BMW Matlala bought for her as a gift. When Matlala had a fallout with his other girlfriend, Mabe, police had to be summoned to his house. Mabe wanted to take her clothes out of Matlala's house but he chased her out. On a video that Matlala recorded then, he shouted at Mabe: "You have brought stress to my life … you don't have to act."

HE WAS A BIG SPENDER

During his heydays, he used to dazzle girls with lavish gifts from expensive handbags, other cars and trips. He was not lazy to spend on expensive bottles of French champagne as he liked showing off. He would often be spotted clad in Italian brands such as Gucci, Georgia Armani and brag about wearing expensive timepieces. The flamboyant player would also boast about wearing expensive shades and dating more than one girl at a time. In a video he shared on social media this week, Matlala said he can't blame his misfortunes on drugs and alcohol as he was a responsible person who didn't take drugs. "I let the media take over my feelings,". When contacted for a comment he said, "Hey my man I have nothing to say to you."
