Actor, model, presenter, and medical doctor Fezile Mkhize made history as the first African to win the eighth Mister Supranational at the male pageant in Poland last night. The event was hosted by Survivor SA presenter Nico Panagio.

A WINNER

Fezile emerged victorious over contestants from the Philippines, Netherlands, Venezuela, and Laos, who made up the top five. "I am beyond the moon," Fezile told ZiMoja. "This is a moment in history. I am truly humbled by the journey it took for me to get here," he said. "I am proud to be a South African and to have represented my country," he added.

DISCIPLINE

Fezile emphasised the importance of maintaining discipline, stating that it is a quality he consistently works towards in his day-to-day life. "I had to be in the right mental state and always believe that I too stand a good chance and deserve to be here like everyone else," he added. Fezile dedicated the win to the national director of Mister Supranational South Africa, Wayne Stafford. "This is also a special tribute to my aunt, who passed away last December. She was a big inspiration in my life."

A TRIBUTE

The seasoned model was also a runner-up for Mister World. He is known for his big win on SABC 3's The Presenter Search and Top Billing. Raised in Kwa-Zulu Natal, he got his start as a medical practitioner, model, and television presenter.
