DJ ditches his high-paying IT job for music

He is cementing himself in the music industry. He ditched his career in Information Technology and grabbed the music industry by the horns. Limpopo renowned DJ and producer, Given Eka, better known as

 DJ Gizo, recently launched his highly anticipated debut single, Ngithule, extracted from his upcoming album. 

 

LEAVING IT

 

His passion for music originated during his high school days when he explored the world of music programming on computers. DJ Gizo's journey has now led to a soulful and motivational tune, reflecting his humble beginnings. The Computer Systems graduate from Tshwane North College, boldly decided to abandon his corporate job at one of the largest multinational mobile telecommunications companies to pursue his professional music career. "I had to follow my passion," he says. "The money can be good, but when one is not fulfilling their passion, it will always haunt you. I've embraced my new path in the world of music," he says. "I want to leave an indelible mark on the music scene, capturing the hearts of listeners with his unique and inspirational sound."

 

MAKING MUSIC

 

His latest single, Ngithule serves as an introduction to his musical journey. It has been described by many as a "Soul-Healing Piano Masterpiece" they say. "The soulful piano composition carries a lot of healing properties," he says. "It resonates with some of my personal early struggles and aspirations. Which I will one day open up about. But in essence, it's a song of healing." DJ Gizo's profound connection with his artistry shines through this captivating musical creation.
