DJ Tira’s wife and reality star Gugu Khathi, will stop at nothing to clear her name. Gugu is now going after the controversial blogger Musa Khawula in a desperate attempt to get him to reveal who his source is. In a gossip post in May, Khawula posted: "Gugu Khathi is cheating on her husband DJ Tira with broke Tebogo from Khwela Tebza. They were recently in Eastern Cape for the SUV challenge and they were all over each other every two seconds." he wrote. This comes after Slindile Khumalo, who was at the same event, alleged that Tebogo Lerole of Kwela Tebza fame and Gugu were having an affair.
TRYING BY ALL MEANS TO CLEAR HER NAME
Gugu, who is trying by all means to salvage her marriage with Malume Bearings, as DJ Tira Khathi is popularly known, has enlisted the services of Joburg law firm, Movi Attorneys. It’s said that Gugu is going after Khawula to try and force him to name Slindile as his source of information in the matter. The lawyers sent a letter of demand to Khawula, dated July 16, 2023. The letter is written in part: "Our client has instructed us to address this letter to you following publications on your social media blogs, wherein you made an allegation without any proof that she is cheating with one, Tebogo Lerole. After writing a letter to one, Slindile, about this allegation. Through her lawyers, she denied ever engaging you regarding this baseless allegation. Our client considers these allegations to be defamatory and malicious to her reputation and that of her family."
DEADLINE PASSED
Khawula was given five days from the 17th to reveal his source or face legal action. The letter of demand continues: "Accordingly, we are instructed to demand, as we hereby do, the following: That you corporate with us and provide the WhatsApp messages or any form of proof proving that she engaged with you or face a High Court application whereupon an appropriate relief will be sought against you for such defamatory statement. Should you fail, refuse, and/or neglect to accede to our client’s demands within 5 (five) days of receipt of this letter, we hold instructions to institute legal proceedings against you, the costs of which you will be held liable. We trust that you shall have the integrity to comply with our client’s lawful demand without resorting to protracted and costly litigation proceedings," Speaking to ZiMoja last week, Khumalo stood by her claims that Gugu and Tebogo were together at the event until the early hours of the morning in April. She even provided photos of herself, Gugu, and Tebogo and some of the events they attended together. She added that the alleged couple had private late-night dates - away from the public glare. Khawula could not be reached for comment.
