The music industry has welcomed Durban DJ and producer DJ Fisherman, real name Sfiso Mjoli, after a hiatus of about 10 years. The Happy Song hitmaker went on a musical sabbatical and said he hated the music business.
A CALLING
His last project was released in 2014 titled, Evolution. He spoke about the toxicity of the music business after not receiving some of his royalties. "I took time away for my mental health. I became very depressed.' He says some of the things he experienced hurt him deeply. "I don't want to go back and think about some of those experiences.' But he has returned to his true love. "You can't run away from the music calling.'
WELCOME BACK
In his new upcoming project, he features the late Mampintsha whom he recorded with before taking time out. "I kept the music, although I didn't listen to it or release anything. I feel the songs are still relevant, especially the one with Mampintsha," he added. DJ Bhunu has welcomed him back into the music business by committing to shoot his return music video for free. "We missed him in the game and his unique sound - the video is just a welcome back gift.'
