The MMC for Economic Development, Nomoya Mnisi, has sung praises to Chris Brown following his filled up concert over the past weekend that has boosted the economy in Jozi.

Reports indicate a substantial economic boost, with local hotels, restaurants and transportation services experiencing a surge in demand.
"The City of Johannesburg is thrilled to celebrate the significant economic impact generated by the highly successful Chris Brown Concert held at the iconic FNB Stadium this past weekend. Drawing tens of thousands of fans from across South Africa and beyond, the concert has demonstrated the power of world-class entertainment to drive tourism, job creation, and business growth in our city," said Mnisi.
She explained that the hospitality industry, thrived and in particular, saw near-capacity bookings, with visitors extending their stays to explore the city.
JOB CREATION
Mnisi said not only did the concert bring entertainment but it created job opportunities for hundreds of locals including those employed in event security, catering, and technical support.
She said small and medium enterprises, such as local vendors and informal traders, benefitted significantly from the influx of concertgoers to the stadium precinct.
