We look at those who are celebrating significant anniversaries this year, offering a glimmer of hope for enduring love and marriage. 

LELETI KHUMALO AND SKHUTAZO KHANYILE 

Veteran actress Leleti Khumalo and her husband, Skhuthazo Khanyile, celebrated 12 years of marriage. This is Leleti's second marriage after ending her first to the late Mbongeni Ngema. The pair had a public divorce that was marred by controversy, but the actress found love again, and this year she celebrated more than a decade of marital bliss. "Today is our anniversary; woke up to this wonderful message from my husband," Khumalo began her message on their anniversary in October. "No, 12 is not a bad number, isn't it?"It still feels like yesterday when I met you on that Boeing 737," Khumalo wrote, responding to her husband's message. "You looked exceptionally beautiful that day in red linen pants and shirt.The smile on your face made me weak; for the first time in my life, I didn't know what to say," her husband's message continued.

KABELO AND GAIL MABALANE

Actress Gail and her husband, Kabelo Mabalane, got married in a private ceremony on 9 February 2013, after two years of dating. In celebration of 11 years together as man and wife, Kabelo took to social media to express his heartfelt emotions and share a beautiful message dedicated to their enduring love on their anniversary. He believes that when Jesus said, "Apart from me, you can do nothing,' He was right. Kabelo feels that the incredible bond he shares with Gail is a testament to the work of the Lord. He exclaimed, "Morena Jeso, O nkentse motho!' In a social media post, Gail also wrote, "Look at us...showing up, choosing joy, embracing His peace, failing forward. Cheers to the next 11!" In an interview on The Makhs podcast, Gail said having somebody to do life with is a blessing, as when she gets weak, he gets to be the stronger one. The couple has two children together, a daughter named Zoe (9) and a son named Khumo (6).

HOWZA AND SALAMINA MOSESE ON 16 YEARS OF MARRIAGE

Actress and television personality Salamina and her husband Tshepo 'Howza' Mosese celebrated more than a decade of being together. In an Instagram post, the actress thanked her husband for the 16 years they've been together. Taking to her timeline on their anniversary in September, Salamina wrote, "My Tshepo, having you by my side makes me the happiest, most grateful, and luckiest person in the world. Happy 16th anniversary to my soul mate. There's no one I'd rather sit on the couch watching TV with. And thank you for the daughters we made within the 16 years." Tshepo did not hold back, he wrote: "Salamina, with high mileage on our speedometer, through the highs and lows, 16 years later we're still riding, baby. It's only by the grace of God and no other formula. I love you lang tyd kido. The best chapter in my book. Happy anniversary, My Skat." The couple has two children together. 

BASETSANA AND ROMEO KUMALO

Businesswoman and businessman Basetsana Khumalo and Romeo Khumalo celebrated 24 years of marriage this month and 27 years of being together. The pair got married on 9 December 2000 and they've been together ever since. Basetsana has said that she would marry Romeo again and again and that she feels safe and deeply loved by him, while her husband said that she is the best wife and mother to their children. When they were celebrating their 22nd anniversary two years ago, Basetsana posted on social media where she thanked her husband for putting them as a couple first above everything else. "You are such an incredible father to our children and a positive role model to them. I thank the Lord for the gift of your life. I love you, Mntungwa. Happy anniversary to us!" Basetsana and Romeo have three children together.
