World renowned composer, musician and songwriter Lebo M may have announced that he is not backing down from divorcing his wife after giving her 48 hours to return his car.

But Pretty Samuels says she is not going down without a fight. Speaking to Zimoja, Pretty says divorce is the last thing on her mind.

NOT BACKING DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT

Although things have not been so pretty for Mrs Morake, she's determined to save her marriage. She says she has worked hard to bring stability into Lebo M and the kids' lives. She says despite everything thing she is going through, she will fight for her marriage. "As a dedicated wife and mother, I will still fight for my marriage and family. I have worked tirelessly to bring love, warmth and stability into the Morake family household.'

According to the 39-year-old who once said she is the real mother of Lebo’s kids and their biological mothers are more like surrogates, it breaks her heart to see her family fall apart

"I would hate to see our daughters being thrown into unstable family environments. It just wouldn’t sit well with me," she adds. Asked about Lebo M's car which she took and was given 48-hours to return, Pretty says at moment she is attending to her mom and that she will find time to speak to her hubby to save their marriage. She also adds that the car Lebo wants back was involved in a car accident.

"I am currently at home Eshowe attending to family matters but also taking care of my 77-year-old mother, spoiling her a bit before I go back to Joburg.The car has since been involved in a car accident and Lebo is aware of that,'

BIGGER PLANS

Through his spokesperson Lebo M released a statement confirming that he is going ahead with divorce. 

"At this stage, I need peace of mind because 2024 is a big year for me, with exciting projects lined up. More details about the big year ahead for me will be revealed in earnest,' read the statement. The Lion King producer, who has been recently banned from the US because of tax issues, said he doesn't want to entertain issues of cheating, instead, he cannot wait to quit the union he is in with Mrs Morake. 

The statement added, "Despite all the allegations that have been peddled around with regards to Lebo M’s initial statement on 1 August 2023, the popular Lion King hitmaker, has already stated reasons for the sudden divorce, in particular, Pretty Samuels Morake's refusal to execute affidavits on his electronic signatures, and confirming timely, there are no policies Mr Lebo M does not know about."

DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE DIFFERENTLY 

Pretty says reading about her personal life in the media has been the most difficult thing to overcome. She has wishes that her and Lebo can seat down like adults and resolve their issues in private as normal people

"It hurts when you read false statements about your personal life,' she says, adding that she has tried by all means to stay away from the media especially when it comes to her personal life.

"I’m a private person and those closest to me know that I’m not one to air any dirty laundry in the media. I only engage with media when I have to talk about business or about projects that uplift those in challenging life situations."

It remains to be seen who will win this round after the couple has aired so much dirty linen in public.
