Singer and producer Bongani Fassie and his long-term partner, Buhle Sangweni, separated last year after a domestic violence incident at their Fourways apartment. Bongani has since had several relationships, including one with rapper B'Queen and now his new manager, Kay Bhengu. His ex, baby mama and reality TV star is now dating Springbok wing Sbu Nkosi, who reportedly tested positive for the use of a banned substance last month.

TOXIC

Buhle and Bongani's relationship was one roller-coaster ride, with claims of physical abuse, alcohol abuse and drug abuse. The couple chose to part ways following an incident that happened in February 2023 in their Fourways two-bedroom apartment where the son of late legendary singer Brenda Fassie beat Buhle and ransacked their apartment. However, the two once called it a "spiritual attack' but after the altercation, they have not been back together again. Buhle shared a video of her rundown apartment with broken glasses, destroyed furniture, tables and ransacked valuables. She claimed Bongani was responsible for the mess and he destroyed her apartment after a heated argument. "This is my house. He literally broke everything. Everything is broken. This is what Bongani Fassie did,' she said at the time.

NEW LOVE

Buhle has since moved on and has a baby with Sbu. A close friend revealed to ZiMoja that the two started dating just before she ended things with Bongani. "That was her exit from the toxic relationship. It was about time, things ended before they hurt each other or one of them died. It was too much,' the friend said. Buhle and Sbu currently reside in Bloemfontein in the Free State. "Buhle is happy and has cleaned up and is in a good space with her new man," the friend added. Sbu missed the Cheetahs' Currie Cup Round Three match against the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld recently after testing positive for an anabolic steroid mainly used by bodybuilders. It is said that a routine urine test confirmed the prohibited substance. Both Sbu and Buhle could not be reached and did not respond to our emails.
