She left Ambitiouz Entertainment this year, after six years of being with the label. Singer Busisiwe "Cici" Thwala was rescued by the label boss, Kgosi Mahumapelo after a long court battle with her previous label 999 Music owned by Arthur Mafokate. Cici and Arthur went back and forth in court over an alleged assault. CiCi claimed Arthur dragged her on the street in June 2017 and that she had to undergo a pelvic replacement procedure as a result. The self-proclaimed "king of kwaito" was later acquitted in the Midrand Magistrates Court of assault charges. The last album she released Ambitiouz Entertainment was in 2021 titled Sukulila. Cici has also since left the label, but it seems that her nightmares are far from over after they reported her latest song Thula where she is featured by DJ Zinhle and had it removed from some streaming platforms.

REMOVAL OF THE SONG

DJ, businesswoman, and mom Zinhle Jiyane recently told her fans about having her song removed from certain streaming platforms, such as iTunes and Apple Music for "unknown reasons," she says. "I’m exhausted. I don’t know why #Thula is not available on Apple Music & iTunes. We are figuring it out. Never had to fight so much for a song ay… It’s available on other platforms… " According to an insider, this is because Cici has unfinished business with Ambitiouz who allegedly had a hand in the song being removed. "She left the label earlier this year. She owed them an album, which she completed. But they still have not given her clearance. Kgosi is being very difficult and is making her suffer," the source says.

It appears Cici is still in a battle that will take some time to settle. "Anything she releases will have to go to court until she is free to leave the label." DJ Zinhle’s song has since gone back up on iTunes and Apple Music after lengthy discussions with Ambitiouz boss. "She basically told them, she will credit Ambitiouz on the song until the matter with Cici is settled," the source tells ZiMoja. "Zinhle doesn’t want to lose out on a good song. She invested a lot in it. We know, she is a perfectionist. But once the matter is then settled in Cici’s favour, hopefully, she will then remove the details of the label on the credits." Both Cici and Ambitiouz’s boss were not available for comment.
