AmaZulu Football Club CEO Sinenjabulo Zungu and the team striker Bongi Ntuli who got hitched in a traditional affair last month are one step closer to officially becoming Mr and Mrs Ntuli. ZiMoja can reveal they had the last leg of their traditional ceremony this past weekend at Ntuli’s home in KwaXimba village outside Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu Natal. Their white wedding will be in September.
UMBONDO TRADITIONAL CEREMONY
This past weekend, Bongi’s family welcomed their new makoti during the Umbondo ceremony. Umbondo is an all-female Zulu affair in which the makoti’s father is not allowed to attend. She is accompanied by other females to go gift the groom’s mom and groom’s community food and blankets. The groom normally invites his friends, and Ntuli only invited Dumisani Zuma, from the team even though the team is back in town for pre-season.

ZiMoja can reveal that AmaZulu boss Sandile Zungu’s wife ,Nozipho Magubane, who just had a baby attended the event but left early. A source who was in attendance told ZiMoja that Nozipho left early to go celebrate her first-year wedding anniversary dinner with her husband," adds the source. The source added that Sandile was glad his wife was in attendance to represent them. "Although he could not attend he was happy that his wife made it," adds the source.
