House of Zwide director and former Scandal! actor Kagiso Modupe and his wife Liza Lope have announced the birth of their son. The couple took to their socials yesterday to announce the new member of their family who was born on Sunday.

'THE ANCESTORS ARE HAPPY'

Taking to his Instagram page Kagiso wrote: "Ladies and gentlemen, the Modupe family presents and welcomes the arrival of our son Paballo yaBakwena Modupe." The actor paid tribute to his wife for both strength and resilience after she gave birth to their son. "Appreciation to my wife, Liza. Never have I witnessed such strength. You are a true Proverbs 31 woman. The love I have for you is immeasurable." He also acknowledged his ancestors. "Bakwena ba go leboga Mmarona. Our ancestors are rejoicing at this one. Pula! Meet our son, Paballo yaBakwena Modupe,".

AN EARLY CHRISTMAS GIFT

His wife also thanked their two daughters and her husband for playing the big sister role while waiting for the arrival of their young baby brother and showing support. "Thank you Motheo for always making sure my tummy has lots of Bio-Oil because mommy can't have stretch marks, and she got to play with the baby in the process. Tshimollo for always making sure I've eaten and don't have to go up and down the stairs to get food. Marina and Maanda for taking on my responsibilities when it got a bit too much. My husband for always ensuring I never lack anything, for the back rubs and foot massages. God for this little gift of ours, our early Christmas gift," Liza wrote. " In May this year, the seasoned actor Modupe, who appeared in movies like Losing Lerato, surprised Liza with a brand-new Mercedes Benz in celebration of Mother's Day.
