Actor Muzi Mthabela joins Ukhozi FM

Ukhozi FM welcomes seasoned actor and video editor Muzi Mthabela

Ukhozi FM, the biggest radio station in the country boasting a listenership of over 7.5 million, has announced their lineup which is packed with seasoned favourites and new voices.


Seasoned actor and video editor Muzi Mthabela has joined the station as one of its hosts alongside Neliswa Cele on the station's podcast called Ukhozi FM TV. The former Isibaya and Imbewu: The Seed actor, is a video editor by profession and got his first acting gig on the drama, Zone 14. He now joins the world of radio as a presenter on Ukhozi FM interviewing the country's stars, movers and shakers.


SIGIYA NGENGOMA REPLACEMENT


Following the passing Beekay Mchunu last week, the station announced that Khathide "Tshatha' Ngobe, who currently is on the drive time Woza Nabangani Bakho' with Selby "Selbeyonce' Mkhize, will stand-in on the show until the station can find a suitable replacement. Bingelela Mpanza, the 2021 winner of the Winnie Mahlangu Female Presenter Search, will continue to host 'Sigiya Ngengoma' every Saturday 09h00 -12h00 with Tshatha.


According to a statement released by the SABC, Sipho "DJ Sgqemeza' Mbatha alongside Nonhlanhla 'Mroza'' Buthelezi will continue with the breakfast show every Monday to Friday from 06h00 to 09h00 while Dudu "Lady D' Khoza will maintain her coveted slot 'Jabul'ujule' from 09h00 to 12h00. 'Dankie 1223' sees the return of Sfiso "King Sfiso' Sibiya and Zimiphi "Zim-Dollar' Biyela from 12h30 to 15h00.


STAYING THE SAME

 

Siyabonga Mhlongo will continue his show, 'Ubusuku Obuhle' from Mondays to Thursdays from 8pm to midnight. Ukhozi FM unearthed talent though the Winnie Mahlangu Female Presenter search, which has been running since 2020. This year, the station will be welcoming Nozipho Zulu, the 2023 and fourth winner of the competition. She takes over the Sunday 03h00 - 06h00 development slot from Londa Mbatha, the 2022 winner, and the show will now be called 'Kwasa Okungaliyo', while Londa has been moved to host the agriculture show 'Cobela Kufalaza' on Mondays between 3am and 5am. Zama Mseleku, the first winner of the presenter search competition in 2020, will bring her unique charm to the airwaves on Saturdays from 07h00 to 09h00 with 'Ulozolo'.
