Afrop pop sensation, Zuko SA has received his first ever SAMA nomination. After making music for years, he said he?s happy that his music has a wider audience reaching audiences far from the Eastern Cape - something he didn?t expect.
GRATEFUL AND HONOURED FOR THE NOMINATION
The muso is in seventh heaven following his first award nomination at this year?s SAMAs. "I didn?t know that music has a wider audience than the Eastern Cape. I?m so happy that my music reaches audiences outside of my ny province and I?m so glad that it?s also recognised by other people in other provinces. I never thought I?d get such a notion," Zuko, who is nominated in the best Afro-pop album.
HOPING FOR A GRAMMY
He is confident with his album that he submitted it for consideration at next year?s Grammys and looks forward to a favourable reply. Zuko is excited about the developments in his career and is taken aback by how far his music has taken him. He said: "I submitted my music, because I believe so much in the album. I hope that it will get the nomination. I?m so happy that I?m at a stage of my life that I can share my music with the world. He?s making music that will continue to speak to his fans. I?m currently working on my next project. I can?t wait to see what I come up with. I?m happy that i get to make music that makes it for award nominations, its an indication to me that my music is getting recognition," he concluded.
