LOSING FOCUS
Psychological Registered Counsellor, S'lindile Ninela says being sober at the start of the year is perfect because, " it's a season where one would be expected to start afresh. It's a time to reflect on the past year and improve on behaviour, lifestyle and financially.' She says starting on an intoxicated note means that mentally you are not channelled in putting the goals you hope for in place. "Whatever that you desire, you should set the tone at the beginning of the year. If you are intoxicated, remember what damage it does in your brain or in your behaviour and you are likely to lose focus.'
