The case of the missingVanderbijlpark couple is drawing closer to an end. Giving Makangeni Mokoena(35) and pregnant Nokuphila Dladla (29) were last seen on 14 December at theirhome in Vanderbijlpark and rereported missing on 15 December 2022 after Givingdidn't arrive at work and couldn't be found at home.
ARRESTS
Threesuspects including a baby mama of Giving Makangeni Mokoena have been arrestedfor the murder of the Vanderbijlpark couple.
SouthAfrican Police Service (SAPS) spokesman Colonel Mavela Masondo says thesuspects, aged between 30 and 32 are facing three counts of murder, kidnapping,and house robbery among other possible additional charges. He adds that thecouple was found dead in an open field in Heidelberg on the 23rd and their carwas allegedly sold by the suspects after they were killed. "Various unitsof the police that include Crime Intelligence, Hawks, Gauteng ProvincialInvestigation Unit, Sedibeng K9, SAPS Vanderbijlpark, and SAPS Heidelberg weremobilized to search for the victims. A thorough search and investigation led tothe arrest of the suspects in Heidelberg." Gauteng Provincial Commissioner,Lieutenant General Elias Mawela, applauds the team of police officers thatworked around the clock to ensure that the suspects are arrested.
