Meet X, the host of X-Repo is the hottest thing right on TV. Real name Xolani Maphanga, he hails from Tembisa in the East of Johannesburg and is set on getting back whatever is owed to you- as long as you present him with the facts and hard evidence. But who is this man whom many have hailed as a hero because of the wonderful work he does?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              "I'm the older brother to my nine siblings. I'm jolly and fun to be around. But ultimately what drives me is that I want everyone around me to succeed and reach their ultimate potential. I'm quite passionate about life as a whole and I always want to see myself above the game," he says. X worked his way up to become a TV presenter from a bouncer on Uyajola 99. " I started from the bottom and now I am here. This shows that hard work never killed anyone. If you have dreams, you must work hard in making them a reality," he says.

A POLYGAMOUS FATHER

X admits that he comes from a colourful and big family because his father was a polygamist. with four wives.                                                                                                    "I have great memories of my childhood with my father and mothers," he says adding that they have been his pillar of suppoort. He says he started his educational journey at Mangweni Primary School ,then proceeded to Masiqakaze Secondary School. After matric he proceeded Stanford Business College.

HELPING THE HELPLESS

The reason he is passionate about what he currently does is because he feels somewhere somehow the justice system of our country is failing our people.
"Justice was not being served at the rate that it should have been. I realised that people would have all the necessary proof that they rightfully own properties, furniture etc but the police and the small claims court would fail them in the process hence I took it upon myself to rectify and fill in the gap,:" he says. He says he likes that his work brings results. " I don't want stories. If you have proof, I will immediately give you peace by getting whats rightfully yours." he insists.

A SHOW FOR THE PEOPLE

Wherever you see X, he has security guards in tow to make sure everything goes according to plan and to guarantee his safety.
"I have the most vigilant security team but I must say, we are lucky because we have not  come to a point where  people have attacked us. We are firm and factual whenever we do the work. It's a beautiful show that has a vision, that doesn't choose a certain demographic or race but delivers results," he says.

FAMILY MAN

When the cameras are off, X is a family man. Even though the ladies tend to throw themselves on X, he is happily married with three boys. But he says like his father he is definitely considering becoming a polygamist.                                                                                                                                                                                                              "I have seen it in my family, polygamy works and I am working on it," he says. He maintains becoming a polygamist will not come between him and his job, even though his hands will be full as he is passionate about what he does.                                                                                                                                                                         "There's Xolani and there's X," he laughs. " The person you see on camera is for the nation, has mega love for the helpless and passionate aboutt representing the weak , the strengthless and the voiceless. He'll make sure no one is taken advantage of in his presence."
