Ukhozi's Beekay trying to get the best traditional healer to deal with his illness

Bheka Beekay Mchunu is making a recovery and hoping to be back on air tomorrow

SABC Ukhozi FM radio presenter Bheka "Beekay" Mchunu is hoping that he will make way back to his show tomorrow. This, after he fell ill during his show last Saturday. According to close sources within the station Beekay had to be driven from work after he fell ill. "It is still not known what is happening with Beekay because he is always sick at work. Some people within feel that there might be some sort of witchcraft happening there. It is not the first time he falls sick during his show" the source said

HE WAS VERY WEAK

Another source said that Beekay, who does the popular maskandi show called Sigiya Ngengoma, had to be replaced by Lucky Nkosi who does the Saturday show from 7am to 9am called Ulozolo.
"They had to call Lucky back to studio as it was evident that Beekay was becoming weaker and weaker on the show. The producers had to call him back as he had done his show and was on his way home. He became the lifesaver of that show by standing in for Beekay," the source said.

NOT NORMAL ILLNESS

The source further detailed of how Beekay has been in and out of hospital. In 2020 Beekay fell ill and had to go back home in Empangeni to be cared for by his family. He spent months not working. When Beekay was contacted for comment, he confirmed that he fell sick in studio but assured people that he was getting better. "I think it is no longer just a normal illness but I'm recovering well at my place here in Durban. My brother is trying everything to get me the best traditional healer to deal with this directly. I have tried many doctors and they don't see anything wrong."
