Two women were arrested after they conspired to rob a boyfriend of the one, who recently received an undisclosed large amount of money. Zamokuhle Ndlovu (21) and Lindiwe Sithole (41) from KwaDabeka, a township outside Durban in KwaZulu Natal, were allegedly arrested after a voice note emerged detailing of how the two were planning to rob Siyabonga Mpungose of his payout. Mpungose who had just received money from his previous job is alleged to have been dating Ndlovu.
PLOTTING TO ROB THE GUY
In the voice note that Zimoja was privy to listen to, Sithole is heard speaking to man and planning with him on how they are going to rob Mpungose. Sithole is heard saying to the man, who will organise the team to rob Mpungose, that "Are you still on about the thing that I told you about earlier? You like playing hard to get or must or must I take this tender and give it to other people? I will call you on Monday. Zama (Zamokuhle) said that she was willing to be kidnapped for three days. This guy received a lot of money and just came back from Johannesburg from buying a car." The guy on the line asks the lady which bank they guy are targeting uses and asks the guy if he, "can you see that you are now dating a thug? I'm a thug not these other women you have been dating."
WANTING THE MONEY URGENTLY
While Sithole is busy talking to the guy, Ndlovu interjects and asks the guy to kidnap her and Mpungose, after they are done shopping on Monday. She tells the man that they must do this quickly because they want this money urgently. "You must wear a mask and don't say a thing because the guy knows you. You must not say a word when you are doing the job," the voice note says. The man hired by the two women responds on how they will rob Ndlovu's boyfriend. "This weekend I will be busy as I am preparing for a ritual at home. This thing needs to happen during the week where people will not be anticipating anything and some will be at work. The problem with doing this over the weekend, is that he is busy drinking in places where there are a lot of people. Monday's are the best."
MAKING SEXUAL ADVANCES
The man is also heard making sexual advances on one of the women and assuring them that the job won't be difficult to execute because of the bank he uses. KZN SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant Nqobile Gwala confirmed the incident saying, "The man was robbed at KwaDabeka Section D. The suspects stole his bank cards, wallet, cellphone and a watch. A case of house robbery was opened for investigation at KwaDabeka SAPS. After few days police arrested Zamokuhle Ndlovu and Lindiwe Sithole and they were charged with house robbery.
