The community of Inanda township north of Durban in KwaZulu Natal says they can now breath after a feared criminal was shot and is breathing a sigh of relief after a feared criminal was shot and killed by the police.
CPF MEMBERS
The criminal is alleged to have shot and killed two community policing forum members also in Inanda township last week. It is alleged that the feared criminal went on shooting spree which began at Zimangweni area where the first CPF member was shot and killed in his yard. It is further alleged that the criminal then went to another section, Newtown C where he further killed another CPF member. It later emerged that the criminal shot and killed another CPF member in Dikwe area last week.
SEPARATE INCIDENTS
KZN SAPS spokesman Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed the incident and said the police in Inanda are investigating two counts of murder after two people were shot and killed in two separate incidents on Sunday morning. In the first incident, a 30-year-old man was shot and killed, allegedly by three suspects at a sports ground in Newtown C. "Police also responded to another murder scene on Mshado Road, also in Newtown C where a 60-year-old was found dead with gunshot wounds. It is alleged that the deceased was watching television with his wife and children when three suspects entered the house and fired shots at him. The suspects haven’t been identified as yet and the motive of the killing is unknown at this stage. Police are also investigating of the two incidents are related," he said.
