Fans of actress Siphelele "Ceecee" Ndaba who plays the role of Mazet on Gomora are seeing her for the last time this month. This is after the show's powers-that-be did not renew the 26-year-old's contract.
THE DRAMA BEHIND THE SCENES
Highly placed ZiMoja sources say the producers decided not to renew her contract because her character "lacked excitement."
"Don't take me wrong, she is a brilliant actress, but she lacked something for the show,' said one of the sources. Another source close to the scriptwriters says she lacked enthusiasm and no longer had the energy she came in with at the start of the show. "When she joined the show, she won the hearts of the viewers with her enthralling performances as Mazet, but she no longer has that thing." At first, they thought changing her wardrobe would add a different element but nothing changed. "They put her in a relationship but there wa sno range of emotions, and this was the last option."
