A charge sheet linked to the Thabo Bester escape saga has revealed that three of the G4S security personnel were paid R40 000 each to execute the plan. One question that has been recurring is who funded the escape but it appears that it was Bester, his partner in crime Dr Nandipha Magudumana and her father Zolile Sekeleni who were allegedly responsible for the payments.
THEY SETTLED FOR LESS
According to the charge sheet, former G4S employees Senohe Matsoara and Teiho Makhotsa, together with contracted CCTV technician Teboho Lipholo, were offered R2.5 million but were all paid a mere total of R120 000 which they accepted. The three accused received their payment between the 13th and 14th April last year.
