Radio and TV broadcaster Thami Ngubeni has shared her experience of how she escaped a recent car high jacking unscathed. Thami is a spiritual person who believes in prayer and believes that is what saved her from the incident.During her show with Siya Mhlongo on Metro FM, Thami detailed a harrowing story of how she survived the car hijacking and kidnapping after the culprits held her hostage before cleaning out all her bank accounts.

 THE HIGHJACKING AND KIDNAPPING ORDEAL?

The seasoned broadcaster described the trauma to her listeners and later shared it on her social media. "On Monday, I was hijacked and kidnapped,' she says."They took everything material, but they did not take my life.' Without detailing too much about where the incident happened and for how long she was kidnapped, Thami says it is only by the grace of God she managed to escape. "I give God the glory. Faithful God. The God who fights my battles. My God who saved me from the jaws of the lion.' Thami went on to show praise and gratitude for making it out alive. "I'm thanking God that He saved my life. That even though the enemy tried to harm me, God protected me. A weapon was formed against me, but it didn't prosper. I walked through the fire but was not burnt!' She goes on to say how relieved she is that she is still alive to tell the tale.

A seasoned actress, writer, presenter, and radio personality, Thami has appeared on shows such as the television drama series Suburban Bliss,Molo Fish, Generations, and Going Up to name a few. In 2006, Thami wrote and co-published a book, My Sacred Spaces, with Penguin Books.  She currently co-hosts The Scared Space every Sunday from 6 am until 9 am on Metro FM. She also owns Tamzin, a media company that creates and produces media for Radio, Film, Television, and Print.
