The wait is over! Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King is finally in South Africa and last night saw stars gather for the premiere at Ster-Kinekor IMAX Eastgate in Johannesburg.
A NIGHT TO REMEMBER
Dr. John Kani captures the voice of Rafiki and Kagiso Lediga, as the Young Rafiki in the upcoming production. Dressed impeccably, over 1000 guests were treated to special moments such as a rousing rendition of “I Always Wanted A Brother” featured on the original motion picture soundtrack, releasing 13 December. This was performed by the student choir from Northcliff Primary School. Guests included the likes of Anele Mdoda, Boity Thulo, Natasha Thahane, and Lorraine Moropa to name a few. Mufasa: The Lion King” opens only in cinemas on 20 December 2024.
