She is the epitome of turning a sour situation sweet one. She took what people used against her and is monetizing on it. In November 2022, the former beauty queen and entrepreneur Sonia Booth aired her family's dirty laundry and exposed her football legend husband Matthew Booth of having extramarital affairs with a married woman who she thought was his employee. She shared details of how she got a Private Investigator to track down her husband who had allegedly used her car to travel to several destinations with his alleged mistress. She further went on to share how on the evening of her son's birthday, he allegedly baked a cheesecake, that she had hoped was for her son, but turned out to be for his alleged mistress. After meeting the woman's husband, Sonia asked he returns the Tupperware that Matthew had used to store the cake and she put it on the floor in the garage where Matthew parks his car. For weeks, people joked about Cheesecake and Tupperware.

THE mom of two has since taken what people used to mock her situation and turn it into a business. The businesswoman recently launched her own brand of cheesecake products. "The Cheesecake scenario trended for days. The first time I went out in public I heard a group of teenagers whispering 'cheesecake'. I couldn't help but laugh," she says. "They started clapping for me. It happened the second time, where a group of adults asked me ?where is the cheesecake?' A friend also told me back in November that cheesecake at stores was selling out because of my story." She then decided to turn what seemed like a horrible situation into a business and came up with her own brand of cheesecake products. "I was either going to get annoyed by people whispering or shouting 'cheesecake' or ride the wave and make bank. The entrepreneur in me decided to make the best of what could have easily buried me in the sand," she says. Sonia confirms to ZiMoja that she filed for divorce 0n 8 November. "But we haven't as year reached a settlement."

COOKING THE PAIN AWAY
Her first idea was to create a Marula Cheesecake Liqueur that will soon to be launched. "Then I decided on the ice cream and frozen yoghurt. Followed by Marula Cheesecake Passion Popcorn, Body Mousse, candles, and incense sticks will also be introduced soon," she says. "I came up with the recipes." She experimented with different infusions to get a mix that works. "I make every single tub in my kitchen now, it's still early days. My first batch was mixed on the morning of Valentine's, a few days ago and these sold out." She has been approached by many companies after seeing her post on social media about her cheesecake products and she plans to pursue as many as possible.
