The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD)'s Sanelisiwe 'Sane' Bhengu who was initially on the show as an extra seems to be taking centre stage in the reality show. Following a stint as an extra the show wants the celebrity chef to replace actress and singer Mbali Ngiba as one of the main stars.
REPLACING CAST MEMBER
According to sources close to the production, Bhengu whom the show thought was just going to be an extra became more popular than Mbali because of her story line and realness. "Many viewers were complaining about her boring storyline. Sine turned out to be more dramatic and exciting than Mbali. Now the show bosses want to dump her for Sane," said one source. According to a source close to the situation producers are contemplating killing her storyline because she is boring and does not have content. "She basically has nothing to offer, and producers are planning to let her go,'
NO SIGN OF MBALI
Another source said the show has been shooting for weeks with no sign of Mbali. "We suspect that they finally dropped her. She was the weakest link in the cast. She was boring and has not shot in weeks but instead Sane has been busy shooting almost every week." ZiMoja has learnt that production is currently on break, and they will come back for the reunion. The source has also learnt that Mbali does not like Sane as she feels that she is taking her spot. "She is threatened by her presence also because she is aware of the fact that Sane is the producers' favourite," a source added.
CONFRONTATION
On episode 5 where Sane was introduced to the ladies, she rudely told former cast member Londie London that she would still be living the rich life had she not been too forward and her personal life all over the papers. She went on to say her ex and father of her two kids, Hlubi Nkosi, left her because she is rude. Mbali confronted Sane telling her, her behaviour made her question the kind of person she is. "I'll be frank. They don't want you and you are unlikeable because you always attack people.' Mbali said. She also suggested that Sane seeks help for her issues. "I want you to be okay. You're a strong woman. You're such a nice person, Sane. It's just a few things that need to be fixed. "You know you've got a problem; it does not need to come from me,' Mbali said. Responding to Mbali, the emotional Sane said that it was the very first time in her life that she agrees with someone about her issues.
