The award-winning sports personality has been taken to the Pretoria High Court after failing to pay the balloon payment of R1 million to his car.
In court papers seen by Zimoja, Marawa was granted a court order to cancel the agreement and for the bank to repossess the car in August, and for the bank to obtain any outstanding balances on the loan after the resale of the car.
CANCEL AGREEMENT
Marawa purchased the luxury car in November 2018 at the initial price of R1 431 304 and has since accumulated to R2 141 370, 30 due to the balloon payment and zero deposit paid upfront. Marawa has since failed to make the payment of over R1 097 986,96 that was due 21 December 2021. Marawa's agreement was that should he fail to pay on the due date, the dealership could cancel the agreement, repossess the vehicle and retain payments already made in the terms of the agreement.At the time of publishing, Marawa was unreachable for comment.

- Actress Katlego Danke was reported to have failed to pay the bank for her Randburg home loan. The home was later put up for auction and needed R50 000 worth of repairs.
- Radio and TV personality Unathi Nkayi was reported to be allegedly owing SARS R120 000 and the court judgment ruled that SARS attaches her multi-million Rand home.
