Reality star loses man over booze

Thato is back in the mother city nursing a broken heart after she broke up with her man who accused her of too much boozing

Their relationship began like a clincher 80's movie, with dates and attending industry events together. They were like a modern day Romeo and Juliet playing dress up and looking good on the red carpet. But sadly their fairytale romance ended just before they could meet each other's families.

HER MAN TOLD HER TO QUIT DRINKING

Thato Montse of the Housewives of Cape Town and her beau have parted ways. The couple met last year at the Durban July and quickly became the envy of town serving couple goals. Zimoja can now reveal that their short-lived romance has ended in tears. According to a source, Thato was sent packing back to the Mother City by her new man, who could no longer handle her drinking. On the show there were already growing concerns about Thato's drinking but the winemaker quickly put everyone in their own place, shutting down perceptions that she is an alcoholic. Sadly that reputation did not only cost her BFFs but her man has backed off from the relationship because of her drinking problem

CHOOSING BETWEEN HER CAREER AND LOVE

According to Thato, her man wanted her to stop making deals with males. "Imagine! My industry is male dominated," Thato says, adding that things became bad when her man told her how to dress, and not to return for season two of the reality show because she is just a loud mouth on TV."This is the same guy that met me through the show, now for me to quit because I want his ring? I won't change myself for anyone. All of a sudden...I am loud mouth.

MOVING BACK TO CAPE TOWN

Cape Town is an oasis of calm unlike the chaotic Jozi and Thato has confirmed that she is now back in Cape Town to pick up the pieces of her life. "I needed to get out of that toxic place for now. I am happy in Cape Town rethinking  my life.  I have been in an abusive relationship I know the signs. They start by telling you what to do next, then they beat you up," she concludes.
