She was raped, brutally killed and thrown off the bridge in Wembezi township in the Midlands in KwaZulu Natal on Sunday afternoon. Zandile Dladla (32) went missing for a day after going missing for a day. 

PARTYING

A close relative who spoke to ZiMoja on condition of anonymity said that Dladla had gone to a local tavern where there was a party on Saturday night. "On the day of her disappearance, she was with her friends at the tavern, and they said they were having a good time at the party until she decided to go to her boyfriend around 1am for a sleepover,' the relative said. But Dladla had lost her phone and couldn't call her boyfriend to come fetch her from the party, so she left on her own. 

REPORTED MISSING 

 The friend said that the family became worried when her manager at a retail store she worked called the family to ask for her whereabouts when she didn't pitch in for work. That is when the family decided to go around asking her friends where she was. "The friends told us that they last saw her around 01:30 am when she left for her boyfriend's place. No one knows what happened to her afterwards until we received a call to say her body had been found on Sunday. "Finding her in that state was breaking, the police said she was raped, killed and thrown off the bridge. This is the bridge that she was meant to cross in order to get to the boyfriend's place,' the relative said.

BODY DISCOVERED

The relative said: "She was found by a herdsman who was looking after his goats on Sunday afternoon. That is how the cops called the family to come and identify the body as there were many people on the bridge who had come to see the dead woman found naked. She had no clothes on." The relative told ZiMoja that it was hard to believe that was killed in such a brutal manner. "She was a responsible mother of two and she loved her children, she didn't deserve this,' she said.
