Radio and TV personality Linda Sibiya has warned that he doesn't not sell cars and phones, after a scammers stole his profile and used it to scam people. Linda has alerted his Facebook followers that someone is using his name and photos to scam unsuspecting victims. This comes after some of his Facebook users were fuming that he is selling iPhones and cars without delivering. In one post, a white Ford is advertised with a price tag of R38 000.

He warned : "Bakwethu this is a fake account: Lomuntu uzenza mina and I will report this account futhi we are tracing lomuntu. (Good people this person is pretending to be me and I will report this account and trace the person)"
The businessman, who has millions of fans from his days at Ukhozi FM, told Zimoja that, "A friend of mine asked me about cars and iPhones that I wasselling. I told them that I don't sell cars and phones on Facebook."
On whether this won't affect his brand as a radio and TV personality, he says: "I'm not affected but I don't like it because someone is scamming people using my name. I will report it to Facebook and to the South African Police Service (SAPS)."
ACTING FAST
In making sure the authorities nab the hackers, he says he has enlisted the services of an IT guy who is tracking them. The fake Linda Sibiya account has a brief background written: "Motivation (sic) speaker, TV personality, Radio DJ, producer, entrepreneur." The original Linda Sibiya's Facebook account has a brief background as, "It's not over until God says it's over." The fake account also mentions that Sibiya lives in Ballitoville and there is no such town in South Africa but Balito, north of Durban. Fortunately acted fast before unsuspecting victims could pay thousands of Rands to scammers using his name.
