After a difficult two years, TV presenter Palesa Tembe has something to celebrate and a wedding to plan after her partner paid lobola for her over the weekend.
DEALING WITH GRIEF
This year in April will be exactly two years since her sister Nelli Tembe passed away after falling from the 10th floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town while with her fiancé and also late rapper Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes. Accepting her sister's death has not been easy. She once shared that Nelli's death made her feel empty. "I wanna cry really, really badly. But I think 2021 took all my tears. I'm empty, nothing. There's nothing! Every time I try to cry ?" nothing! Empty tear ducts. It scares me. If you can relate, please tell me what helped you? And maybe you can help me.' On her birthday, she vowed to move on and start the new year afresh and work on her mental health. "It may be my birthday tomorrow, but I'm in all the feels today.There's something daunting about turning one year older and having not ticked off certain boxes you thought you would have achieved. This past year was littered with bad news, from losing loved ones to uncomfortable shifts coming from all directions.'

The Afternoon Express presenter Palesa Tembe has something to celebrate after her boyfriend and businessman Veli Ngubane paid lobola for her. She confirmed the good news on social media, "Someone's uncles came to my parent's gate this morning.' Veli is an award-winning founding partner and chief creative officer at one of the largest black-owned and managed service agencies in the country, Avatar South Africa. He is from rural KwaZulu-Natal and completed his BSocSci (Law,Politics, and Economics) at the University Of Cape Town.
