EVERYTHING HAD MEANING?

Everything at the rapper's memorial service had significance. Nhlanhla Nivo Ndimande who is part of the rapper's production team says they tried their hardest to incorporate a piece of the rapper's favourite things in the décor of the venue. "We tried our best to make sure that we have Kiernan in the building. We have the South African flag on the mic-stand which he always carried with him when performing,' says Nivo. "We got the award from his fanbase, The Megacy after they awarded him. We got orchards which were his favourite flowers.' Everyone who spoke at the funeral used the microphone he used to perform with at gigs. The pictures used at his memorial were taken two days before his departure. 

NONO'S MAGIC TOUCH

Maureen has done décor and sets for birthdays, christenings, graduations, weddings, and funerals for stars such as DJ Zinhle, Ntando Duma, Kelly Khumalo, Zakes Bantwini, Ferguson Films, and Moshe Ndiki. She has been in the business for many years but registered her company in 2012 while working as head of legal and compliance for one of the biggest banks in the country. She used part of her salary to buy some décor supplied and cocktail seating and a small tent. These days, she employs over 30 people in Johannesburg and Durban and plans to expand provincially. Nono was born and raised in Vosloorus, Boksburg, and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, and graduated from the University of the North in Limpopo.
