Zakes Bantwini has lost his father

The father of music maestro Zakes Bantwini has passed on. He ended the year 2022 on a high note after being nominated for a Grammy Award for his song with Nomcebo Zikode and Wouter Kellerman. His song Osama" was nominated for Favourite Song at the 2022 DStv Mzansi Viewers Choice Awards and won Best Collaboration and SAMRO Highest Airplay Award at the 28th South African Music Awards. Music maestro Zakhele“Zakes Bantwini” Madida is starting the year 2023 with grief after losing his father.

Sharing the news on social media is his wife, Nandi Madida who will remember her father-in-law as funny and welcoming. “I am eternally grateful for the kindness you showed me as your daughter-in-law,” Nandi says.“You truly made me feel like your daughter in love.”
Nandi penned a heartfelt message saying how much she will dearly miss her father-in-law. “You had a wicked sense of humour that we will miss dearly.Thank you for making me feel like family and welcoming me so warmly. You are with your creator now. Thank you once again, I am eternally grateful. Love andt houghts are with my husband Zakes Bantwini’s family and all your loved ones during this very difficult time. I am so sorry my love and family.”
