He is one of the most talked about gospel singers in the country. He has been ministering through his music. Now, Thinah Zungu has officially been ordained as a pastor.

THE CHOSEN ONE?

He never imagined that he would be a pastor but saw himself only ministering through music. "I never knew that I'll be a pastor one day, but I thought that my calling would only end in music hence my music is full of preaching,' he tells ZiMoja. Thinah's father was a pastor in the Zion Church so healing runs in his blood.

IN HIS BLOOD?

Thinah will be ministering through his church the Ark Fellowship Church in Inanda, in KwaZulu-Natal. "I only preach at the church that I'm leading but whenever I go out, I'll be travelling through music. I don't want to confuse the two because there is a lot of peole that find comfort also in my music. I was preaching through music, now I'll be preaching and leading the people of God that I'm called for. I believe that I was ordained the day I was born.' Thinah says he has had to make some life changes now that he is a pastor. "My life has changed completely. I now have to put more balance between my career, the work of God, and my family. So more time is needed to be spent wisely,' he says. His wife Zama Zungu is a priestess.
