Musician survives gunshots on New Year's Eve

TNS believes the shot was not random but a hit on him.

Singer and producer TNS, real name Nkazimulo Ngema from Mandeni in the north of KwaZulu-Natal, is still shocked at who would want to hurt him after his car was shot at on New Year's Eve. TNS tells ZiMoja that he was driving home alone in Durban when something that sounded like a rock hit his windscreen. He says he did not think much of it at the time as he thought the windscreen was hit by a small stone and he continued with his trip.

?A HIT?

TNS believes the shot was not random but a hit on him. "When I reached home, I parked my car to check the damages and I was shocked to discover that what actually hit my car was not a stone but a bullet,' he says. "I do know who was behind this as I do not remember beefing with anyone. But it looks like a hit.' ?

THANKING HIS ANCESTORS ?

The musician says he is thankful to his ancestors and God for protecting him from possible death. "I am grateful to God and my ancestors for protecting me. It could have been worse.' The Umona singer says he will be going to therapy. "I am also seeking psychological help to help me deal with the shock.' He adds that he has reported the incident to the police and the matter was under investigation. ?

THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE

?This is not the first time TNS feels his life might be in danger. In 2020 he opened up about how his baby mama was stabbed in the shoulder and leg at her KwaMashu home, whilst walking to a tuck shop. Before that, his house got broken into and the robbers walked off with two laptops filled with his music. Even then he believed he was being targeted.
