In a dramatic twist of events, it has been revealed that one of the wives of businessman and reality TV star Musa Mseleku is set to make a return to the popular South African reality show, Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD).
CALLED BORING ON THE SHOW
Thobile ’Makhumalo’ Mseleku will be rejoining the cast of RHOD for its fourth season after being dumped on season three. Makhumalo was often criticised on the show, with most viewers calling her boring and too reserved. Her troubles started when she arrived at an event driving a non luxurious car and showing her house in the village. Viewers felt she did not live up to the standard of the show.
SHE IS BRINGING DIVERSITY TO THE SHOW
Her return to RHOD also marks a significant moment for the show, as it becomes one of the few reality TV shows in South Africa to feature a polygamous family. A source close to the situation says producers decided to bring her back because they want to show case diversity. "There are still many people who believe in polygamy, and they were enjoying her presence on the show, so when she was cut off some people complained. Her return to RHOD is sure to shine a light on the complexities and nuances of polygamous relationships, and will undoubtedly spark important conversations about the topic," adds the source.
