Mzansi multi award ward winning promoter Junior Lavie isn't slowing down.The Durban based promoter popularly known for organising mega events in the country, one of them being the annual Durban July, made his name when he hosted US rapper Rick Ross in Durban few years ago, Zimoja caught up with him and he says,"Every single day comes with its challenges but through God and my passion for what I do, I've got to keep people cheered up and happy every week".

OPPORTUNITIES COMING IN EVERY DAY

Junior is also know for his Thursday night events at Rich Durban, Friday nights at Views At Twenty5 and Sundowners events on Sunday at Luma. He is also the man behind the discovery of Nasty C, Lucasrap, Aewon Wolf, Junior Da Rocka, Junior B to name a few.
"Over the years my work has attracted the masses across the our boundaries, what pushes me is that I want to rule the continent in hosting events, the world is changing and opportunities come in every day in this business", he says.

A GIVING HEART

In December he hosts Party On A Tuesday (POT) at Rich Durban and F*INK events at Shaka Marine.His biggest highlight was winning best promoter of the year during South African Hip Hop Awards for two consecutive years.
"Through my hardwork, I have a few initiatives which is to improve the lives of the poor, where in January I plough back to communities and dontate school materials, shoes, lunch boxes, and food parcels. As the festive is approaching, I'll be giving Christmas gifts to orphans in my community", Junior added.
