Former Generations actor, Muzi Ngema did not stay unemployed for long after he was fired from Generations: The Legacy last month. Ngema has already been snapped by popular SABC 1 drama, Skeem Saam.
FIRED FOR BEING DRAMATIC
ZiMoja reported last month that Ngema, known as Mazwi Moroka on Generations, lost his job in the soapie opera. It was reported that Ngema was shown the door because of strained relationships with fellow actors and crew members. The producers of the soapie then wrote him off the script where he died. His 'funeral' in the soapie was used to welcome back Connie Ferguson and Rapulana Seiphemo back in the soapie. "The writing department has worked hard to ensure that the departure of Musa Ngema is handled in a way that is true to the story and respectful to the fans. He has done a fantastic job of portraying the character, and we are grateful for his dedication and commitment to the role. Once again, we thank him for his contribution," the production said at the time.
JOINING SKEEM SAAM
He will resurrect his acting career on the educational programme, Skeem Saam, which is trending lately because of star players, Melita and Dr Kgomo because of their cheating ways. According to the source he was spotted around Skeem Saam offices. A source close to the situation says they were happy he was let go from Generations because it means more numbers for them. "Skeem Saam wants to surpass Generations in terms of popularity and numbers, lately they have been trending almost every day' adds the source. According to another source they were still negotiating contracts and money issues. `If they agree on the terms and conditions he is definitely joining,' the source adds. When called for comment, Skeem Saam publicist Sumaya Mogola denied that Ngema is joining Skeem Saam. "Who gave you the story first?' ZiMoja told her we would not reveal our sources, to which she responded,'that is not true, he is not joining us," said Mogola.
