A man from Amaoti in Inanda, Kwazulu Natal is standing trial at the Ntuzuma Magistrate court for slitting his girlfriend's throat, killing her instantly for refusing to have more sex with him. Zakwele Mgobhozi (25) appeared in court on Wednesday where he has pleaded not guilty to the murder.

NON-STOP SEX 

It is alleged that Zakwele went to forcefully fetch his girlfriend Pinky Yeni (36) from a nearby tavern where she was drinking in December 2021. He told her that he wanted to have sex and threatened to show her his true colours if she did not oblige. The couple went to Pinky's home and had five rounds before the woman started complaining of being hurt from the non-stop sex. According to Pinky's family the man allegedly went down on his knees asking for more sex but his girlfriend couldn't take it anymore.An argument ensued and Zwakele allegedly went outside to take an iron take to attack Pinky.

 GARDEN RAKE 

Pinky's aunt Nobantu told ZiMoja that Zwakele struck her niece with the rake on the head, and she managed to run outside the house. The deceased's sister tried to intervene, but Zwakele allegedly screamed saying that he was not done having sex and demanded that his girlfriend give it to him. "Zwakele confessed to us that he was not done having sex with her when she showed no interest in making love to him after five rounds. He said that he lost it and attacked her,' Nobantu said. She added during the attack, Zwakele went to find a knife, chased with Pinky and slit her throat.

MOVING IN

Nobantu said Zwakele had been staying with Pinky at her family home for a few months as he was unemployed. Zwakele was arrested in December 2021, and he has remained behind bars since then after he was denied bail by the Ntuzuma Magistrates court. The trial continues. National Prosecuting Authority's Natasha Kara was not available for comment as her phone rang unanswered.
