With the South African Revenue Service (SARS) stripping off the business associates of controversial businesswoman and reality star, Shauwn Mkhize, the latest victim is her close friend Shaun Stylist. It has since emerged that Shaun lost the Mercedes Benz Brabus which cost over a million Rand.
Last week ZiMoja reported about the same car being shot at by another motorist while Shaun’s Stylist was driving it. Shaun Stylist, real name Andile Naki, is one of the associates of MaMkhize who appeared at the SARS inquiry that was held in Umhlanga in May, which looked into the tax affairs of the controversial businesswoman. Shaun Stylist appeared on behalf of Lungza Management Consultants cc, which SARS accused of not paying its taxes. After the much-publicized drama of MaMkhize losing her movable assets and expensive cars at her La Lucia home in Durban north, the SARS officials also raided her farm in Pietermaritzburg and Sandton.
HER SISTER WAS ALSO RAIDED
The following day, the officials raided Shauwn’s elder sister, Nozipho Ngubo’s property in KwaZulu-Natal where they confiscated movable assets and two expensive cars. Nosipho and her husband Mvusi Ngubo, and Thelma Louise Smuts represented Lungazwile Family Trust during the tax enquiry. It has since emerged that MaMkhize’s brother, Lethukuthula Zuma, who appeared for his company 22 Aston Investment (Pty) Ltd, was also raided by SARS officials and the police in Umbumbulu, south of Durban. He also lost a couple of cars and other movable properties. Brightness Senselike Mseleku, the owner of DPA Project Managers & Facilitators (Pty) Ltd, also lost some properties owing to the search by SARS officials. A source close to the SARS investigation said the tax entity asked all the bank institutions to close the bank accounts of all people who attended the inquiry. The accounts that have been closed include their business and personal accounts. The source said SARS wants to recoup unpaid taxes from all the businesses by holding an auction, especially on the expensive cars they repossessed.
