Multi-award-winning artist Makhadzi had to be whisked away from stage after fans attacked her in Mutare, Zimbabwe where she was performing on Good Friday. According to Zimbabwean media, fans were angry at the Limpopo star, real name Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, after she allegedly arrived late for her performance and with no live band.

It is reported that fans, who waited for the energetic singer until 1am, were disappointed when she arrived on stage with only two dancers and was lip synching. This allegedly led to them throwing cans and beer bottles at the stage while some resorted to destroying barricades which separated the VIP section.
