Limpopo police have launched a manhunt for three dangerous prisoners after a brazen escape whilst being transported from Groblersdal to Witbank Prison this on Wednesday.?
THE ESCAPE?
The trio had just appeared before the Groblersdal magistrate court on Tuesday, and they were being transported back to prison together with three other prisoners when they escaped next to Moutse Mall in the Dennilton policing area. The escapees are Michael Masimula, Mahlatse Matebane and Lovemore Moshui, they are aged between 20 years old and 40. The escapees are facing the charges of murder, rape, armed robberies, cash-in-transit heists and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.?
ON A MANHUNT
Provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has ordered that the escapees be hunted down and brought back to where they belong. The suspects are considered dangerous, and people are cautioned not to approach them but must instead call the police," said Hadebe. She further said that a case of escaping from lawful custody has been opened and investigations are continuing. The circumstances surrounding their escape are still being investigated.
