Legendary playright Mbongeni Ngema?s family has refuted the claims that they want to exhume his body and bury him in his homestead.
CAR ACCIDENT
Ngema passed away hin a car accident when he was coming from a funeral in the Eastern Cape in January. Ngema was later buried at Chesterville Heroes’ Acre in Red Hill Cemetery Durban on January 5. Speaking to ZiMoja, his younger brother Nhlanhla Ngema said that the family was shocked about the allegations. "We as the Ngema family are not aware of such thing. We are not planning on exhuming his body. This is news to us and we request that the public give us time to mourn his passing away. We are not intending on exhuming him," he said
LAID TO REST
Nhlanhla further said that they are grateful that Mbongeni was laid to rest in Chesterville. "We are grateful that my brother was laid to rest with other heroes. He was a man who proved to the nation that anything is possible as long as you believe in yourself. We want the world to know that my brother is resting in peace there and we have no plans of moving his body and bury it at home. It?s untrue and we are not happy about the reports," he said.
