The family of a woman who was shot and killed while visiting her new boyfriend wants justice. Sebenzile Ndlovu (42) from Inanda Newtown A in the north of Durban in KwaZulu Natal (KZN) was allegedly shot by an unknown man after knocking at the door of her boyfriend's place. It is alleged that Ndlovu recently found a new lover in December.

FAMILY WANTS ANSWERS 

Zamani Shandu,  the murdered woman's sister, said the family wants to know why she was killed. "We don't want to speculate on who may have killed our sister because we were not there. We were only told by her new boyfriend that someone knocked on the door while he was busy cooking in the kitchen, shot her and disappeared. Shandu said that the boyfriend further told them that when he heard a gunshot he ran and hid in the nearest room. "We want the police to find the killer so that we can find closure. My sister left behind two little children which I have to raise all by myself since their father abandoned them. We want justice for her," he said.

 MOTIVE UNKNOWN

KZN SAPS spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala confirmed the incident. "Inanda Police are investigating a case which took place on 2January 2023 at Newtown A in Inanda. It is alleged that the 42-year-old woman was fatally shot by an unknown suspect. The motive for the killing is yet to be discovered," she said
