IN HIDING
In December 2023, the established businesswoman, filmmaker, author, and philanthropist, announced her separation from her husband King Dalindyebo, saying it was due to her marriage being "one of the toughest times" in her life. She told ZiMoja that she has endured a lot and had been patient. "But it has taken a toll on me emotionally. He called our union a forged marriage. He would leave me one day and the next check on me," she said. "I am being damaged because there are a lot of internal and family disputes that are affecting me. He hires and fires royal staff. I came in to help build the home of the King," she said at the time.
MYSTERIOUS CALLS AND THREATS
Queen Khazeka says she is receiving subtle threats. "I am afraid for my life. I don’t know where to hide anymore." She tells ZiMoja that she has been getting mysterious calls from people asking for her whereabouts. "Someone pretended to be Judge Mandela Makaula wanting to help me and asking me for my whereabouts. When I phone the real Judge Makaula, he knew nothing about it," she says. "This immediately proved that someone is looking for me. I can’t point fingers as I know my husband loves me and would not harm me," she adds. "In one message, the person says they will find me, no matter where I go." A royal family insider says the King is currently living with his children and fifth wife Queen Nokwanda, Queen Nokwanda’s sisters and their children. "He is not okay, but he will be fine. He locks himself up and wants to be alone most of the time. But he is the king and he will come around," the source concludes.
