THEY WERE OKAY?

A loving man at the beginning of their relationship, Vincent also comes from the same village as Dudu and they have been dating for some time. According to Mashaba's eldest daughter, Lungi Langa, her mother was strangled to death in front of her siblings for stokvel money. "That man planned to kill our mother a long time ago,” Lungi tells ZiMoja. “My siblings say on the day our mother was killed, he told them that he was going to kill her when she returns from town,” Lungi adds that although they fought at times, things were good between the two of them. “They never argued that day. But Vincent knew that our mother had gone to town to take out her stokvel money which she has been saving this year,” Lungi says. “My mother wanted the house and Vincent wanted our mother to buy a car for him.”?

ROBBING HER FIRST

The devastated daughter says that before Vincent strangled her mother to death, he first robbed her of R18 000 stokvel money. "He had been waiting for that money on that day. Our mother was killed for putting us first and wanting to build a house for us. She had been talking about it the whole year,” Lungi says. “We want justice! My siblings can’t even sleep after seeing our mother being killed right in front of them. ”Lungi says after Vincent took the money, he fled from the area. “His family says that it was going to be hard for him to move from one area to the next because he is a very violent person," she adds.

Mpumalanga SAPSspokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli says that they were unable to confirm the case as they are battling to find the docket.
