Saturday, 11 March marks a month since rapper Kiernan ?AKA' Forbes was shot and murdered outside a Durban restaurant alongside his friend chef Tebello ?Tibz' Montsoane. His girlfriend, Nadia Nakai is still in disbelief and expressed how she wished someone could reverse what happened to the Fela and Vercase hitmaker.

The More Drugs rapper took to Instagram to express her pain. "It's been a month; it feels like yesterday. Please can someone undo this," she wrote. The caption was accompanied by a picture of them displaying their admiration for each other.

AKA was shot and killed by unknown gunmen last month as they were leaving popular Wish restaurant in Durban's Florida Road. But the Energy hit maker continues to shine even beyond the grave, his mostly played album Mass Country went gold within two weeks since its debut. Making him one of the handful of South African artists in breaking the one million monthly listeners record on Spotify, also proving that AKA will be remembered decades to come.
POLICE PROMISING TO CRACK THE CASE
Police Minister Bheki Cele said he was confident that the tireless work of the police will lead to the arrest of suspects involved in AKA and Tibz's murder. During a briefing at an imbizo in Westbury this week, Cele said he received daily updates on the progress of AKA's murder case. He explained that cellphone data from various phones was assisting the police in following crucial leads to make arrests. "We have collected a lot of cellphones that we are working on, downloaded everything and try to patch things together; that's the last I received on this matter on Monday night," said Cele. He acknowledge that it is not with the speed that the community and the nation would've loved to see but warned journalists to watch the space, as they are digging deep in this case. "It's a matter that we can't let rest, unfortunately we can't give you blow by blow updates of what is happening, but the progress is absolutely there," he said.
