It seems as if bad luck keeps following Afro-pop singer Intaba yaseDubai. Real name Lindokuhle Msomi from KwaMaphumulo in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands, Intaba YaseDubai is embroiled in a bitter fight with event organisers of Rich Lounge in Mandeni over failure to pay him for his performance that took place in July 29. According to Intaba YaseDubai, Rich Lounge still owes him money for that gig, which he claims he went as far as promoting. "I was booked to perform at a place called Rich Mandeni, they paid a deposit and I honoured the gig but now they don't want to pay me the rest. When I try to engage them they ignore me and I don't know why. I don't want to be famous at their expense, I'm out here warning people against other event organisers because they don't treat us the same way," the Ngiyamthanda hitmaker fumes.
UNLUCKY WITH MONEY
Intaba yaseDubai is not new to controversial situations. He alleged to after doing a feature with Big Zulu and the late Riky Rick, he never received a cent from the hit single,Imali Eningi. As if that was not enough, Intaba YaseDubai also decided to quit Ambitiouz Records early this year after he accused the stable of paying him R3500 a month, a money he claimed was not enough to take care of him.
WE OWE HIM NOTHING
In a surprising move, Rich Mandeni released a statement through their Facebook responding to the allegations by Intaba YaseDubai. "We are replying to the matter at hand where Intaba YaseDuabi is accusing us of owing him for the event that took place on the 29th of July here in Mandeni. The agreement between the artist and us was that he was going to perform here for an hour for R12000. The first payment was R6000 and it was paid on the 3rd of July which was a deposit. The outstanding amount was paid on the 27th of July. We don't know why Intaba is going around telling people that we owe him. We apologise for the inconvenience. We will fix this misunderstanding with Intaba YaseDubai," the statement reads.
