Durban based Gqom and kwaito artist Mandla "Mampintsha" Maphumulo is at the centre of controversy yet again. Nonono Madida, owner of Razz Complex in Flagstaff in the Eastern Cape, is accusing  the award winning Big Nuz member and West Ink boss of owing him R25 000. This after the controversial star pulled a no show at the Youth Hang Out Grooves event at Razz Complex in the small town in the Eastern Cape.

EVIDENCE POINTS TO MAMPINTSHA

Madida says Mampitsha was due to perform on June 25 but didn’t pitch despite being booked as early as March. Mampintsha, who is married to the controversial Gqom singer Bongekile "Babes Wodumo" Simelane, allegedly failed to pitch at the event after payments were made on three different occasions.

Zimoja is in possession of the three proof of payments ,which range from R10 000 which was paid on 23rd March. The second payment was made on the 30th April and on the 22nd June, an amount of R5000 was paid.

HELL HATH NO FURY…

"We had over 3000 people who had come to see Mampintsha performing at our event but at the end of the day we were left disappointed as he failed to make his way to the venue. What was annoying the most is that he ended up not taking out calls and we had to calm the situation down as people were angry at us thinking that we took them for a ride," said Madida.

PAY BACK THE MONEY
?

Madida said that they have tried to contact the singer ,who is also known as Shimora, to pay back the money with no success.

"The next step is to serve him with a letter of demand within days. We want our money back because he's untrustworthy so that we can book another artist to make it up to our patrons," she said.

SORTING OUT ISSUES ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Zimoja contacted Mampintsha but the star did not respond to the any of the messages but instead blue-ticked Zimoja.

It is not the first the Sdukuduku hitmaker pulls a no show. In May, Mampintsha was scheduled to perform  at the Njengabantu in Harmony Park, Durban, but pulled out at the last minute after claiming he wasn’t paid upfront by the event organisers. The event organisers had promised to pay him on the day of the event but were late. Instead of ironing out issues with them, he went and vented on Instagram.
